AMVETS, Bowie Baysox Partner on Veterans Job Fair
Veterans can get help in their search for employment and get free tickets to a baseball game on June 13.
AMVETS, in partnership with the Activision Call of Duty Endowment and the Bowie Baysox, is working to meet the needs of these veterans by bringing them face-to-face with veteran-friendly employers.
There will be a job fair on June 13 from 1-5 p.m., and veterans may stay for the baseball game, which begins at 7 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: Veterans and Employers wishing to attend or exhibit may RSVP via email to Maria Isaja: misaja@amvets.org. Veterans should have a DD-214 or other evidence of military service. Deadline for employers to reserve booth space is May 20, 2012. Up to four free tickets to the June 13 game will be made available to veterans in attendance on a first-come-first-serve basis. Members of the media are welcome. For additional information, contact AMVETS National Communications Director Jay Agg at jagg@amvets.org or (571) 991-6998.
