Local
Nursing Home Resident’s Dream To Become A Reality On Thursday:

The
Opportunity To See Neil Diamond Live One Last Time In Her Life

Eileen Prevo, 75, born in 1937,
is a resident of Crofton Care & Rehab Center. In January of 2012 she
submitted a dream to our Crofton Dreams program wanting to see Neil Diamond in
concert before she dies. The staff of Crofton Care & Rehab Center worked
diligently with local businesses to grant her wish.

Eileen Prevo was born in
Washington DC and met her husband Bill when she was 16 years old. Throughout
their lives, they have attended several of Neil Diamond’s concerts together.
She vividly remembers her first concert experience. She enjoys talking about
her favorite moment at one of his concerts; it was during the song, “America,”
and she cried with joy when the American flag was unraveled and there were
pictures of people coming to America.  Attached
is a video so you can hear the enthusiasm in her voice when she speaks of Neil
Diamond and what his music has meant to her.

Many local businesses have
overwhelmingly supported the program and have helped make this wish come true.  I would like to thank Roane’s Rigging and
Transfer Company for providing the concert tickets for Mrs. Prevo and her
husband as well as dinner at the Blue Dolphin; the Blue Dolphin for providing complimentary
desert; Christina Thompson, local freelancer photographer for the photography
session; Christine Fridley, local cosmetologist who is providing beauty
makeover on the day of the event as well as Towne transport who is providing transportation
to and from the concert.

Azoff Music Management, the
management company for Neil Diamond will be surprising Mrs. Prevo during the
concert with a personalized autographed item and tour
merchandise.

This is a
Public Relations Dream . She is a Nursing Home resident who entered a Grant a
Wish program at a Local Nursing Home and the community came together. On June
14th at 10 a.m. Mrs. Prevo will find out that her dream was granted. Local
Business participants will be on hand to congratulate her on her dream .She is
articulate and would be great to interview.
