$1.75 Million in Judgement in Christopher Jones Case
A judge ordered the payment against a Jevel George in connection to death of a Crofton teen in 2009.
A circuit court judge announced a $1.75 million judgement against one of the people found responsible for the death of a Crofton teen in 2009, The Capital reported.
Circuit Court Judge Pamela North on Monday handed down the judgement against Aneta George and her son Javel, who was ruled as one of the teens responsible for the death of Christopher Jones in Crofton.
Jones died in May of 2009 after he was punched in the head from behind while riding his bike on Nantucket Drive. There were six people present, though two teens were ultimately found responsible for Jones' death.
George, now 19, was found delinquent of manslaughter in juvenile court and sent to a detention center. He was released to the custody of his mother in 2011. Another younger boy pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Jones' death
