Chamber Prepares for 'Tour of West County'

The annual expo and developer showcase will take place Oct. 17.

The West Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its annual Tour West County Expo and Developer Showcase next week.

The Oct. 17 event will once again offer a showcase for new development projects in the area, and will include a bus tour showing off the latest construction activity.

This year's expo will be held at the Village at Odenton Station, near the MARC station.

The expo is free to attend, but the bus tour is $65. Advance registration is required.

To register, click here or go to westcountychamber.org.

Likely highlights of the bus tour include:

  • Progress at Odenton Gateway, including the new medical building, Patient First and Haven apartments.
  • Development near Arundel Mills and the Maryland Live! casino.
  • Construction at the Flats170 at Academy Yard project (former Nevamar site.)
  • Development at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre
  • Sites of other future development, including new apartments across from the fire hall and along Annapolis Road.

If you can't attend, check with Patch to see what you will have missed.
