Checking in with Severn Football Senior Jack Treanor

Jack Treanor is a senior defensive tackle for the Severn School's football team.

Patch stopped by Severn School’s football practice and talked to senior defensive tackle Jack Treanor about football, school and his plans for the future.

Severna Park Patch: What is your fondest Severn football memory?
Jack Treanor: Probably last year being able to work behind our starting left tackle Jack Cauley. He taught me everything he knew. I play left tackle this year, he was my mentor and teacher. I have used a lot of stuff he taught me last year and this year.

Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite professional football team? Who is your favorite player and why?
Treanor: The Baltimore Ravens and I idolize Haloti Ngata. He is a force on the defensive line and he is huge. He is fun to watch.

Severna Park Patch: What else do you participate in at Severn besides football?
Treanor: I also play on the baseball team. I play third base.

Severna Park Patch: What’s your favorite class and teacher at Severn?
Treanor: My favorite class was honors biology with Mrs. Buckley. I have always been interested in how things work and biology gave me a good look at the process of life and how our bodies work.

Severna Park Patch: What are your plans after high school?
Treanor: My plan is to go to college at Fordham University in the Bronx. I love the city. It is a good area and it is a beautiful campus. I want to go into accounting and finance and they have a good business program.
