Patch stopped by South River High School on Jan. 31 and spoke with senior Colin Alley, 17, about his wrestling career and life at SRHS.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What is your favorite South River wrestling memory?
Colin Alley: Winning in overtime against Stephen Decatur to go to the state semifinals last year.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: How is your season going so far and what are your expectations heading into the post-season?
Alley: Our season is going pretty good, we are undefeated in the county and the goal is to win a state championship either by myself or as a team.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What other groups or activities do you participate in at South River High School?
Alley: I played soccer.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What was your favorite class at South River and why?
Alley: Weight training in gym because I like just hanging out and working out.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What are your plans after high school?
Alley: Attend a four-year college and study medicine. I don’t plan to wrestle.
