Forrest to Perform National Anthem at NASCAR Race
Crofton native Ashley Forrest will sing the Star Spangled Banner prior to the NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Dover Saturday.
Crofton native and Nashville recording artist Ashley Forrest will sing the National Anthem prior to a major auto race in Dover, DE, Saturday.
Forrest, whose debut album is expected to go on sale this fall, will perform at Dover International Speedway before the 5-hour Energy 200.
The race is part of NASCAR's Nationwide Series and will be televised live on ESPN at 1:30 p.m.

Sorry but she was awful. Sounded like she was trying to seduce someone. Singers need to do the national anthem like it is suppose to be done and not try to make it their own.

Ashley did an amazing job singing the national anthem today. Deb i dont know what is wrong with your ears, or maybe it is your TV?. There is nothing wrong with an artist singing with pride, passion and soul, which is what Ashley did today, That is how the national anthem is supposed to be sung !

Compared to the rest of the "stars" rendition she was GREAT !! What's with the only way you can sing it? Who made that rule? & Deb, seductive? really? I think you're confused with Marilyn Monroe's breathy Happy Birthday to prez Kennedy. Not even close.
