Gambrills Skate Shop to Close

The Board at Work store, which specialized in skateboarding and snowboarding equipment, was hurt by a snowless winter, the Capital Gazette reported.

A shop dedicated to the needs of skateboarding and snowboarding enthusiasts is closing its doors in Gambrills, the Capital-Gazette reported.

The newspaper said the Board at Work shop in Gambrills struggled to gain a foothold after opening in September. The store was opened by two employees of the former Owens Skate and Ski, and found a spot in the Gambrills Business Park on Route 3.

A tough location and a snowless winter helped seal the shop's fate, and owners too advantage of a chance to get out of the store's lease early, the Capital-Gazette said.
