Gift Cards and Local Small Businesses
The holiday season is still here. Did you forget someone on your gift list? Small businesses around Crofton-Gambrills can help. Here are some ideas for local shops that offer gift cards.
In the hectic days of holiday decorating, buying the perfect presents, and sending cards, was there anyone you forgot?
With all the rushing around, don’t forget about the babysitter, paper carrier, and others who make your life a little easier.
Don’t fight the crowded malls returning unwanted gifts. Many small businesses in Crofton offer gift cards. Not only will you be helping support local businesses, but some are offering special bonuses.
Give the gift of good taste with Ledo’s Pizza Gift Cards, available in increments of $10, $25, and $50.
Scott Taggart, owner of Ledo's Pizza at Eddie’s Place on Route 3, currently has a promotion on $25 gift cards--a $5 gift card will be included with each $25 card purchased. The family-owned business' menu items include pastas, salads, subs, wraps and square-shaped pizzas that are prepared fresh.
Bruster's Ice Cream owner Dawn Rodriguez is also offering a deal on $25 gift cards. An extra $5 gift card will be given for each $25 card purchased. Rodriguez has a suggestion for how to spend the gift card.
“I just love every product we carry. From the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream to the pies. Our Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie is a wonderful dessert, made of chocolate ice cream, peanut butter and fudge filling in a graham cracker crust, topped with peanut butter cups,” said Rodriguez.
“The reason the ice cream is so wonderful is that it is made in our store in small amounts, so customers are always getting fresh product. I simply love Bruster's and am passionate about our products. It's why we went into this business,” says Rodriguez.
She added that if you need an ice cream pie or cake, they are available in their freezer. However, she notes that special order cakes may take up to three days.
“Who can resist a Butter Pecan Ice Cream Pie that has butter pecan ice cream, graham crust and caramel filling?” laughed Rodriguez.
Consider the gift of pampering by purchasing a gift certificate from Your Body Needs, located in the Crofton Village Green.
Owner Rose Chard makes all the essential oils for the studio.
“We offer a full-treatment menu with the option of hand-blended and specialty formulated aromatherapy products. The great thing about this is the products can also be purchased in our studio,” said the Crofton resident.
Gift certificates can be purchased at their studio or over the phone. Check out www.YourBodyNeeds.com for more information
