To honor mothers around Anne Arundel County, Patch asked users to upload photos of their moms and leave a comment about what makes them so great. The heartfelt expressions of love and gratitude made it too hard to choose, so Patch randomly chose a winner.

Michele Croghan wrote this about her mom, Ann, who appears in the photo with her step-dad, Don.

She is the best mom in the world. She always knows the answer to anything I can possibly come up with to ask her and she is always just a phone call away to help! She is active in her church and organizes trips and activities for seniors. Plus, she is the best cook and babysitter around!! Love ya ma!!

Ann Bennett, 74, of Glen Burnie was selected from 33 entrants and will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
