PHOTO: Girl Scouts Make Blankets of Hope
Volunteers, including a scout troop of girls who attend Crofton Meadows, helped make nearly 300 blankets on Saturday for soldiers.
Girl Scout Troop 1849, made up of girls who attend Crofton Meadows Elementary School, participated in making Blankets of Hope at Ascension Catholic Church in Bowie on Saturday. Volunteers made 280 blankets at the church, according to Jennifer Gibson. The fleece blankets will be distributed to injured and ill U.S. soldiers at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
