Q&A: Crofton Middle 'Music Man' Star Bronte Cook
Bronte Cook, 13, plays Marian the Librarian in Crofton Middle School's presentation of "The Music Man."
Eighth-grader Bronte Cook spoke with Patch about the show and why you should make sure you have tickets.
Crofton Patch: What is your character or role in the production?
Bronte Cook: I play Marian the Librarian.
Crofton Patch: What is your favorite part of the show or why should people come see it?
Bronte: I think it's interesting to see my friends become their characters, it's crazy. We all get so into it. I can honestly say the show is going to be amazing. It's amazing knowing that just two months ago, we were just starting rehearsals and now we have a full production.
Crofton Patch: What is your favorite show or musical you have ever seen or heard performed?
Bronte: Wicked was my favorite show that I've seen. I'd really love to be in that one day. My favorite show that I've been in so far was Suessical—it was such a fun production!
Crofton Patch: What do you like to do besides performing?
Bronte: Well I absolutely love singing, I'm singing all the time. I also love to write. I really love to travel. I know some day I want to travel all over the world.
Crofton Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Bronte: I don't know, I don't think I have to figure that out just yet. If I had to choose now, I'd say journalist, author or performer.
"The Music Man" will open at Crofton Middle and run March 8-10 and then March 15-17. Those interested in purchasing tickets can do so by emailing CMStickets@gmail.com. Tickets are $7 a person.
