Crofton Patch Local Editor Nicki Mayo recalls great times with the website.

Hello Happy Friday Crofton-Gambrills Family!

Today (Jan. 27, 2012) is my last day serving you all as Local Editor for Crofton Patch. This has been an honor, privilege and pure delight. I introduced myself with a video, so I figured it’s only befitting I exit on the same note.

We’ve gone through a lot of adventures since March 2011. Small businesses have been the backbone of our stories. Plus, our children have had a chance to shine every day here on Crofton Patch.

Crofton is a community that cares. This has made my job one of the most fulfilling in my journalism career.

Thank you to the many organizations, civic groups, teachers and elected officials who have made covering Crofton and Gambrills a labor of love that's covered in a patriotic spirit and community service.

Thank you so much for allowing me to serve our community for the past year. If there was ever a way to “come home” and feel like part of a great community, this…was…IT!

Cheers!

Nicki Mayo
