What happened to Houlihans? That was the only one I was excited for.

Another Subway? This will be the fourth one in Crofton... aren't we going a little overboard here? It's not even that great to begin with.

Will there be a single small independent business? What about all of these small business owners we keep hearing congress argue over - do they really exist?

Do you think that Subway just puts stores any old place without doing research?
John

Hmmm, not really good. Let me explain - outside of the anchor stores it doesn't seem to be a place to just stroll and shop. Everything I see is what I'd consider a destination place - banks, food, massage, nails, etc...You don't stroll down a shopping plaza and say "hey, let's do come banking and grab a massage."
There's an obvious lack of clothing. Not clothing shops like Old Navy, Ann Taylor, nothing for kids, no "trinket" or "fun" shops.

Love me some Qdoba. I agree - Subway is overkill. Was hoping for a good date night dining option like Houlihans or some other chain restaurant more upscale than Applebees.

I'm so excited about Coal Fire, we've been making the drive to Columbia to get our fix! And, Lisa, I don't know if you've been there but it's a pretty good date night option, at least for us.

A Cobb theater would have been great instead of Regal. Their CineBistro concept would really be a great addition to the area.

I agree there is no reason for me to "Shop" there. There are no clothing stores at all. I had heard maybe White House Black Market or Kohls may have been interested in being in that shopping center. That's a real let down considering I don't shop for my clothes at Target. Not much else to choose from......

Could use a mailbox (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc) store

Maybe you should talk to UPS or Fedex about a franchise.

I agree, I think more clothing should be there...possibly Old Navy but a Kohls would be great! Also, the *FASHION BUG* in annapolis closed and very sad to see that go & would be "GREAT" to replace one in this shopping center since they have junior, misses, and Plus size clothing!!! ..so you have a good variety. A good shoe store would be great too! Wouldnt even hurt to have a LOWES or HOME DEPOT up this way --not that bowie is far but would be nice!:)) But I agree, more clothing is a must for people to come and shop*:))

Fashion Bug SUCKS! Nothing But Plus Size Clothing And If They Have Your Size Its All Old Fashion Or Granny Clothing. I'm A Teenager, My Friends And I Most Likely Will Go To The Movies And Get Something To Eat But The Clothing Is A Must Have. Hip & Up-To-Date! You All Should Push For A Big NAMEBRAND Clothing Department Like Nordstrom,Ross,Sears,Macy's,Dillard's,Bloomingdale's even a shoe store ... I Mean The List Can Go On And On And Onnnnnnn. I'm Just A Little Disappointed!!!!! I Thought It Would Be Bowie Towne Center Vs Waugh Chapel South. I'm Guessing Bowie Won D:

The last thing Crofton needs is another food place! We need clothes stores, The Body Shop, Bath and Body Works, a book store. We are taking our money to Annapolis, Columbia and Bowie. Revisit and get something other than another grocery store and subway.

A book store would be awesome, love the book stores and they are becoming like the dinosaurs: extinct....so sad to see this happen to the bookstores and to us the people...bring on a bookstore to Waugh Chapel!

"...so sad to see this happen to the bookstores and to us the people."
I don't see it as sad at all. It's innovation. It's creative destruction. Now, I don't need to carry paper books around. Instead we get e-books...you can carry thousands of them with you at all times.
Don't like e-books? Amazon has more real books than any bookstore in the world, and you can browse all you want without leaving your house. Then you can buy whatever book you want for less money than any physical bookstore around is charging.

trader joe's sounds awesome but wegmans is really good! we should have a cracker barrel, that would bring in a crowd for sure! and subway yeah we have enough of that, must be the promotion of "healthy eating" it would be awesome to have more clothing stores. or a bakery/cupcakes.

I wish there was more clothing stores in Crofton. I also would like to not have to travel too far outside of Glen Burnie to a bookstore. Can either Books A Million or Barnes & Noble come there please? Glen Burnie has no chain bookstores since the locals don't really read. I don't do Arundel Mills to often as it is getting more and more congested.

Try Amazon...you won't need to travel at all or deal with parking or traffic. And they have more books than any store in the world.

Wegman's is a great store and there's an entrance for it so you don't have to deal with the trashy chain stores. I'm disappointed with the corporate stores... It's sad. I travel all over the country for my job and the whole country looks this way... It's too much!

That BS joint Green Turtle has a racist manager !!! 100 white folks smoking Newports onthe patio (not to mention the fight that broke out) but she (fat blonde short woman In a black Under Armour polo top) confronts the ppl smoking cigars??? Claiming and defaming they weren't spending money?? How about the 1 Thousand u made on them the night before??!!?? How about the former NFL pros bringing ppl to your pos racist joke of a sports bat??!!??

I was also perplexed by this manager in the Greene Turtle in Crofton. (Same fat, short caucasian lady w/blonde streaky hair who had a physical altercation and allowed them to stay put in the Greene Turtle) I saw former NFL players drop money and great tips for the luxury of enjoying a meal and their cigars and she had the MD State Police threaten one man & provoke him to leave when he did NOTHING WRONG, but did nothing but hang out with and joke with the caucasian men sMoking Newports)I can only I assume she didn't realize one gentleman was a former Dallas Cowboy)..but how would she realize that if she was forming impromptu policy & favortism based on skin color.
Daveiathan

Maybe she did know he was a former NFL pro and made him leave because she was afraid he'd sexually assault the waitresses or smoke crack, like some other former Dallas Cowboys.
