The Arundel High School basketball teams spread some holiday cheer in December when they paid a visit to the Deanwood Recreation Center in Washington, DC.

Members of the girls and boys squads visited the Ward 7 facility on Dec. 17, handing out gifts, playing games and even hanging out with Santa Claus.

"The goal is to show leadership and share goodwill by spending time with the children—getting to know them, sharing a bit of ourselves, playing games, sharing a meal, listening to music, and giving gifts," reader Michelle Ramsey wrote on behalf of the team.
