O's From the Booth: Orioles Fly High in Toronto, Soar Atop the AL East

WOW, what an amazing night O's Fans. This storybook season just continues to get better.

The Orioles have surged all the way to tie the Yankees for first place atop the AL east. They are no longer in just the Wild Card hunt. The O's want the division and the guaranteed home playoff games.

Tonight's game was a pitchers duel until the fifth inning and the late surging Mark Reynolds crushed a three-run bomb to give the O's a 3-0 lead.  The flood gates opened after that. The O's pounded out a season high 18 hits and scored 12 runs.

Zach Britton was dominant pitching seven innings with no earned runs and struck out eight. The O's made a statement tonight to fly atop the AL East as the Yankees fell again to the Rays tonight.

This team seems to be firing on all cylinders at the perfect time. The offense, defense, and pitching are all clicking right now. The O's are playing with a swagger that we have not seen in years. This is going to be the most exciting September in a long time, and we are not talking about the Ravens first game for a change.

This is a call out to all fellow Oriole fans. The Orioles will be home Thursday evening to start a huge four game series with the Yankees along with being Cal Ripken statue night.  I would love to see 45,000 strong at the Yard Thursday night. We do not want the Yankee fans to out number Oriole fans. That would just be embarrassing.

This has been a long time coming O's fans and we need to be out there to welcome this team home and fire them up for this series and for the rest of the way. If I could afford it I would be at every single game. I will be there Thursday night and as many as I can the rest of the way.

Let's Rock the Yard O's fans.  This could be the start of an awesome Orioles weekend and then into Monday Night Football as the Ravens host the Bengals to kick off the Ravens Superbowl Run.

C'mon Baltimore, LET'S GET FIRED UP FOR THIS AMAZING WEEK IN FRONT OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great time it is for Baltimore sports. The Orioles are leading the AL East for the first time since I was in third grade. The Bowie Baysox are in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. And the Ravens kick off the season on Monday Night Football. Exciting times!
