Quilts, Rescue Run and Jammin': The Week Ahead in Crofton

Here are some local events we have our eye on this week.

Arundel Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Run - Saturday, 8 a.m. Crofton Country Club. This 5k/10k race will benefit local firefighters. Register at Arundelfire.com. Cost is $35 or $40 if you register after Oct. 2.

Quilt Show at St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. See the latest from the St. Paul's quilters. Proceeds benefit the church's mission work.

Heroes Jammin' Fun Fest Featuring Ashley Forrest - Saturday, 4-6:30 p.m., Red Eye’s Dock Bar in Grasonville. See Crofton native Ashley Forrest perform in this benefit for Truckin' 4 Troops.

Arundel vs. Northeast Football - The Wildcats will look for an easy win over the Eagles this Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Carroll Field in Gambrills.

South River at Southern Football - The Seahawks will look to win this battle of south county as they host the Bulldawgs Friday at 6:30 p.m.
