Force 3 5K Raises $21,000 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation

 Proceeds from the first annual event will benefit the research and treatment of childhood cancers

Crofton, Md. – April 22, 2014 -- Force 3, delivering the best in federal security, collaboration, next-generation networking, converged infrastructure and support solutions today announced that they raised more than $21,000 at their first annual Force 3 5K for Children’s Cancer Foundation, a charity committed to raising funds for the research and treatment of cancers affecting children.

The event was hosted by Force 3 at the Crofton Country Club on Saturday, April 5, 2014. More than 173 participants completed the 5K For a Cure race. Force 3 employees, family and friends also joined in a 1 Mile Fun Run to kick off the day’s festivities. After the race, a DJ provided entertainment while participants enjoyed post-race refreshments. The male and female top finishers each received awards.

“We are thrilled with the success with our first annual 5K for the Children’s Cancer Foundation,” says Les Trachtman, Force 3’s Chief Executive Officer.  “We’ve been proud to partner with CCF on various fundraising efforts over the past 15 years, and appreciate the support of our customers, partners, friends and family in the battle against childhood cancer. We’re already looking forward to next year.”
