CRCC Charts 2011 Events

The Crofton Regional Community Center Board of Directors plan Crofton Night at the Bowie Bay Sox stadium and various activities for the year.

 The Crofton Regional Community Center Board of Directors held their first of what they hope will become annual meetings March 16th.

 

The Essex Bank hosted the gathering geared at determining the group’s future goals for the upcoming year. The CRCC received approval to pay the cost of a feasibility study.

Board members determined a professional fundraiser will cost too much at this time. They also decided against spending funds on a professional grant writer in an effort to save money. Both fundraising and grant writing initiatives will remain objectives for future CRCC goals.

The CRCC has also started planning for Crofton Night June 15th. The game between the Bowie Bay Sox and Reading Phillies will be a community family fun night to celebrate the end of the school year.

 

Nashville recording artist and Crofton resident Ashley Forrest will sing the National Anthem.

The next CRCC meeting is scheduled January 11, 2012.

 

The Crofton Regional Community Center is a tax-free, non-profit organization formed to open a community center and a skate park in Crofton. Upcoming CRCC events:

  • April 14 - General membership meeting at Ledo's Restaurant on Route 3 opposite Crofton's entrance where door prizes are promised for all. This meeting is open to the public. A percentage of all that is ordered at the meeting will go to the CRCC. This starts at 6:30, with the actual meeting beginning at 7pm.

 

  • April 30th - CRCC will have a table at the Crofton Arts and Crafts Fair on the Crofton Country Club's side parking lot. Free items will be given out, as well as sales of wrist bands and CRCC T-shirts. The first quarterly newsletter from the CRCC will be one of the free items distributed.
  • May 7th - The CRCC will take part in the Crofton Armed Forces/First Responders parade on Crofton Parkway. Any skaters wishing to be part of this can contact Eric Tedrow at 410-980-3756.

 

  • May 16th - The CRCC is participating in the Changing Focus Golf Tournament and Dinner/Silent Auction at the Crofton Country Club. Part of the proceeds will go to the CRCC. More information on this can be obtained from www.croftonregionalcommunitycenter,net or     

 

 

  • June 15th - Crofton Night at the Bowie Bay Sox stadium in Bowie to celebrate the end of the school year. For ticket information, call Janet Greenip at 410-721-0050.

 

  • August 2nd - Night Out Against Crime.

 

 

  • September 24th - CRCC table at the Crofton Arts and Crafts Fair.

 

  • October 9th - a special CRCC Blow-out fundraiser.

 

 

  • November 12th - the 2nd annual Book Lovers Auction and Children's Festival. Big plans for this event are already underway.
  • December 10th - Breakfast with Santa.
  • February 18th - CRCC Sweethearts Ball and Auction. Plans for this have already started.
