Who Will be Citizen of the Year?

The CRCC is looking forward to honoring their Citizen of the Year on Nov. 2 at the Greater Crofton Community Awards at the Crofton Country Club. Who will it be? The evening begins at 6 pm with a social hour before the buffet dinner and awards ceremony that follows. A total of nine different organizations will be honoring their individual Citizen of the Year. Book Lovers Auction Nov. 12

The Book Lovers Auction and Free Children's Festival that takes place on Nov. 12 just keeps growing and growing. As if the auction inside and all that it offers isn't enough, there is also a free children's festival outside the Banquet Room. Now an antique car show has been added and will be free in the parking lot also. If that isn't something for everyone, I don't know what is. The time is from 4-7 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Call Rev. Shawn Jegede at 443-302-9598 to reserve your ticket now. The cost is just $5 for the first 50 people to call and $10 thereafter.

For the price of a ticket, each person receives free beverages and snacks, a chance to meet all the authors present, a chance to bid on thousands of books, some autographed, and all of a very diverse genre. E-Reader raffle tickets are already on sale and will continue up until the end of the Book Lovers Auction. There will be door prizes given out as well as free books for every individual who comes. Shop early for Christmas or just indulge yourself with lots of choices of books. Please call now and reserve your ticket so we can have a headcount.

Children’s Festival

The Free Children's Festival will offer supervision for all children, games and prizes for everyone. A face-painter and a clown will be part of the fun and more is still in the planning stages. But it promises to be a lot of good times for everyone,

If that isn't enough, there will be an antique car show free to everyone in the parking lot as well.

Sweetheart’s Gala Feb 16

Attention is also focused on the Feb. 16 Sweetheart's Gala at the Blue Dolphin as people have started the planning for 2012. It takes a lot of hard work for this huge affair to be so special. With the success it had last year, it's easier to plan again this year. Tickets will go on sale at the Awards Banquet.
