Kids in Action

We are excited to kick-off our fifth year of Kids in Action for children between the ages of 4 yr.old preschool through 6th grade on:

Kids In Action 6:30pm – 7:30pm

• Kids in Action is part of larger program at Community United Methodist Church.  It will continue to be held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, beginning on the 4th Wednesday, September 28th running through May.
• On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, children in Pre-K through 3rd grade will learn how they can make a difference by participating in different mission activities.  Past mission work has included gathering school supplies for children of Guatamala, making cards and gift bags for U.S. soldiers overseas, collecting items for the Anne Arundel County SPCA, making holiday decorations for the residents of Crofton Convalescent Center, as well as activities supporting Operation Christmas Child and A.A. County's Homeless Resource Day.
• The 4th Wednesday of the month, the children will enjoy an evening of games and music.
• “Harry Potter and the Gospel” is returning for the 4th, 5th and 6th graders - We will focus on book two, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  The major themes throughout the book are the triumph of good over evil and the power of love.  This is guaranteed to strike your child's interest and broaden their understanding of God's incredible love!
• On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday there will also be a men’s bible study and a women’s bible study that everyone is welcome to attend.
