June 8, 2011 —
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory and an air quality alert for Central Maryland, including Anne Arundel, Calvert and Prince George's counties.

Highs in the mid to upper 90s are expected throughout the day on Wednesday, with a heat index value of 100 degrees to 105 degrees.
