Caribou Coffee to Become a Peet's - We learned in April that the popular coffee spot at Waugh Chapel would change over to Peet's, a chain from the west coast. The transition hasn't yet taken place, however.

Encouraging Others to Be "Fit Like Me" - In April, Patch profile the efforts of Nevina Davis to open,  Fit Like Me Divas, a new gym and weight loss center in Crofton.

Obstacles Remain for a Crofton High School - At a public meeting with school officials, advocates for a high school in Crofton made their case. But officials outlined how it could be years before conditions are right for a school to be built.

Ashley Forrest Drops Debut Album - The Crofton native made her debut with the album "700 Miles" featuring some pop-country music recorded in Nashville. 

South River Educator Named County Teacher of the Year - Jodie Hogan, a Spanish teacher at South River, was honored at the annual Excellence in Education banquet and went on to be a finalist for Maryland State Teacher of the Year.
