From now through New Year's Day, Patch is counting down the most-read and most interesting stories in the Crofton area. Today, we take a look at the top stories from February. 

Police Charge Crofton Man With Murder - Michael A. Stahlnecker was arrested as he attempted to board a flight at JFK airport in New York. Police said he may have been involved in a drug operation gone bad. 

Thief Fires Shots, Robs 7-Eleven - Police said the store on the corner of Route 3 and Waugh Chapel Road was robbed at gunpoint, and the suspect fired shots at the ceiling. 

Annapolis Ruins Arundel Perfect Season - Arundel had a perfect record in the county until the county title game, when Annapolis beat the Wildcats 51-49. 

Local Constituent Services Rep Resigns - With a new county executive game many changes in the county staff. One change included the resignation of Jody Leddy, who went on to pursue a career in real estate. She had served as the constituent services representative for the area. 

Elevation Burger to Open in Gambrills - The new burger joint boasted top-notch beef and a good array of sides. It opened later in 2013 next to Red Robin.
