Crofton ‘Can-Can’ Profile: Andrew Gordon

Crofton Patch caught up with one of the stars of the Talent Machine Company's performance of "Can Can" as he was getting ready for the production’s debut here in Anne Arundel County.

Q: What's the best part about being in Cole Porter’s “Can-Can?”

A: The best part about being in “Can Can” is most definitely the workout I get stretching for and rehearsing each dance number! The choreography is so athletic and demanding, meaning soreness has definitely been frequent this summer. But the “sore” feelings are good ones…you always know you’ve benefitted yourself more than others that might be relaxing and sleeping through the “dog days” of summer.

Q: What will people miss if they do not come out to watch the show?

A: Those that don’t make it to the show will undoubtedly miss the chance to witness some of the highest kicks in the area and a countless number of painful flying splits.

Q: How does performing make you feel?

A: Performing is so exhilarating for me…I always feel refreshed after I’ve entertained an audience while doing what I love. In a nutshell, performing makes me feel accomplished, grateful, and proud to be a dancer.
