What better way to kick off a blog about thriftiness then to spread the word that Crofton has finally become home to a thrift store?
Last week, a Goodwill Superstore opened behind Shoppers in the old Library Building. Though I readily admit my frugality, I can be a snob when it comes to yard sales and thrift stores. However, like the sign outside the newly opened store states, “We’re not your grandmother’s Goodwill!”
When I visited on opening day, the spacious store was well organized, easy to navigate, and of course, full of bargains. For that extra dish to replace the broken one in your set, or some supplies to get your kid settled in their first dorm room, the store is definitely a convenient go-to. Also, don’t forget the tax deductions you can receive from donating those old clothes or VHS tapes that you haven’t touched since 1998!
