New 'Iron Chef' to Visit Wegmans

Alex Guarnaschelli will be in town to promote her new book, "Old-School Comfort Food."

Celebrity chef Alex Guarnaschelli will pay a visit to Gambrills next month, as she makes the rounds to discuss her new book. 

Guarnaschelli, who recently became the newest "Iron Chef" on the Food Network, will visit Wegmans on April 17 from 6-8 p.m., to promote her book, "Old-School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook."

Customers can reserve a spot for the book signing by purchasing the book at Wegmans. It will be available at 30 percent off at the store.

Guarnaschelli is well-known as a judge on the Food Network show Chopped and Alex's Day Off. She recently beat out nine other contestants in The Next Iron Chef: Redemption. She will now be a regular on Iron Chef: America, going up against other chefs in a timed cooking competition.
