New Salons Offer Options for Kids' Haircuts

For some kids, getting their hair cut ranks among early bedtimes and doctors' appointments on a list of least their favorite things to do. If you have one of those kids, there are two new salons at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre in Gambrills that can change the way your kids feel about haircuts.

Snip-its just opened this summer and often has a welcoming cartoon character sign on the sidewalk that invites kids into the shop.

The Snip-its website describes what to expect in the colorful and kid-friendly environment:

Upon check-in, kids receive their Snip-its Adventure Club card, then meet and interact with Snips and the Gang: Flyer Joe Dryer, Curly Comb, Maranga Mirror, Jean Luc le Spritz, and Marlene & Charlene, the Clip-ette sisters in the Snip-its Animated Show. Kids are welcome to sing along with the Snip-its gang as they entertain with their own theme songs and adventures.
