Is a Replacement to Damon's Grill Coming Soon?
Patch asks readers what they'd like to see move into the Village at Waugh Chapel.
Not long after locals began clamoring for a replacement in the Village at Waugh Chapel in Gambrills. Although it's taken a year to lease the space, an official announcement about a new business could be made soon.
"We are working a lease there, negotiating a lease for that property," said Dicky Darrell, owner of Darrell Development, which oversees the former Damon's location. "Hopefully, it will be signed within 30 days."

Several Damon's Grill locations closed down in the past year after the owner went bankrupt, according to the Restaurant Finance Monitor. The only Damon's restaurant left in Maryland is located in Waldorf.
