Powerball Lottery Jackpot Hits $425 Million

The jackpot would be the fourth-largest in history.

OK, now things are getting interesting.

After another drawing without a winner, the Powerball jackpot has been raised to $425 million, Maryland Lottery officials announced on Tuesday. That's the fourth-largest lottery jackpot in history, and the third-highest for Powerball. 

The prize has a $244.7 million cash option. The next drawing will be held Wednesday.

The Maryland Lottery is one of 45 lotteries nationwide that participate in the Powerball drawing.
