Arundel, South River Host Baseball Playoff Games Wednesday

The teams could face one another in the regional final.

The South River and Arundel baseball teams are each one win away from facing one another in the MPSSAA Class 4A baseball tournament. 

South River will host Broadneck Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a third-round game in Edgewater. 

Meanwhile, Arundel hosts North County in Gambrills at 5 p.m.

If Arundel and South River each win, they would play each other for the regional title. 

Arundel is the No. 2 seed in the east region and reached the state title game last year. The Wildcats advanced in the playoffs Monday by holding off Old Mill for a 1-0 win.

South River is seeded fourth and advanced by beating Chesapeake, 7-0.
