Dine Out or Bring Dinner Home for Thanksgiving

Discover where to enjoy fully cooked meals - without the hassle of cooking.

While many of our local favorite restaurants are closed for the day so that employees can enjoy the holiday with their families, some have decided to remain open and will offer special Thanksgiving menus.

The Blue Dolphin Seafood Bar and Grill has a Thanksgiving Day buffet that includes all of the holiday dishes including roasted turkey with country gravy, honey cured ham, maple glazed sweet potatoes and Blue Dolphin stuffing.  Prices are $24.95 for adults; $13.95 for under 12: and kids 3 and under are free.

Kauffman's Tavern will also be open on Thanksgiving. Their menu includes a freshly carved turkey, roast beef, macaroni and cheese and a green bean casserole. Prices are $28 for adults; $15 for children under 12: and under 5 eat free.

The Nautilus Diner will be open with their regular diner menu if diner fare is your preference and our local establishments will resume normal hours on Friday, so if you want to step away from the turkey leftovers, there are plenty of options available.

Have out of town guests? Take them out and show them what Crofton has to offer. Fins, Big Fish, Allison's, and Sly Horse Tavern all have very nice happy hour specials.

But what if you hate cooking and want to eat from the comforts of home but want all of the work done for you?

Shoppers Food Warehouse offers a complete Thanksgiving Day meal for $40, with various sides extra.  Giant Food is accepting orders for full ham or turkey dinners ranging from $39--$49.  Safeway also offers a full holiday meal, done with all the sides.  Ham, turkey, or prime ribs are the available options. Prices range from $35--$65.

Feeling a bit more gourmet? Contact Whole Foods in Annapolis. Call in or e-mail your order and pick it up just in time for dinner. A bit pricier than the others listed, but they offer a wider dinner menu.
