Money Magazine Names Crofton in Top 100 of 'Best Places to Live'
Crofton ranked No. 82 on the annual list of America's best small towns.
Crofton was recognized for being one of the "100 Best Places to Live" by Money magazine for the second time in recent years. The community ranked No. 82 this year, which is 10 lower than its ranking in 2007.
The magazine noted Crofton is a desirable place to live for the following reasons:
"Baltimore is a 30-minute drive away, and both Annapolis and Washington, DC, aren’t much further. Crime is very low here, but the safe streets come at a price: homes are significantly higher than the state average."

Two other Maryland places made the 2011 list: Montgomery Village ranked No. 40 and Eldersburg was No. 67.
