Possible Strong Thunderstorms Sunday

Severe weather with strong winds and possible hail in the forecast.

A coastal flood watch remains in effect through Sunday at 10 p.m., in both Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

For the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, severe thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon and evening with the chance of producing large hail and damaging winds.

According to the NWS, a coastal flood advisory means the combination of onshore winds and tides may generate the flooding of low areas during high tide.
