Incarnation Resumes 'Giving Back' Campaign

The Gambrills school has raised money for more than 800 backpacks, to be filled with warm clothing to be delivered to homeless people in Baltimore and Annapolis.

Students at School of the Incarnation have once again raised funds to purchase hundreds of new backpacks and warm clothes to be delivered to homeless people in the region.

SOTI is taking part in the Giving Back, Linda's Legacy program, raising more than $20,000 to sponsor more than 800 backpacks.

Students were asked to pledge $25 each and "earned" the money through various jobs ranging from raking leaves to cleaning out horse stalls.

Students will stuff the backpacks with warm socks, sweatshirts, pants, gloves and other items during an event at the school on Dec. 19. The backpacks will then be distributed to homeless people in the Baltimore and Annapolis areas.
