Baltimore/Harford Counties

Dr. Bart Keiner, Dentist - This dental office goes all out with a festive display. Located at 511 South Fountain Road in Bel Air.  

34th Street, Baltimore's Hampden Neighborhood This must-see spot features an entire block of illuminated row homes. Head into the city, have dinner at Café Hon and make an evening of it. 

Medfield Neighborhood, Baltimore - Reader James Kemp reports of at least one sizable lights display in this neighborhood just north of Hampden and just south of Roland Park. 

"Mr. Christmas" - Redfin Blog reports on the home at 22 Kitzbuhel Rd. in Parkton. There are 50,000 lights and visitors are asked to bring cans of food for the Maryland Food Bank.

Edmonson Village - The Baltimore Sun reports that two adjacent homes in the 4600 Block of Edmonson Road have big displays.

Stanbrook Neighborhood, Dundalk - Recommended by Patch reader Chuck Duncan, who reports multiple homes with large light displays. 

Anne Arundel County

Odenton/Gambrills - Check out a huge display featuring lights synchronized to music on Ice Crystal Way in the Four Seasons Community. [See the YouTube Video here.] Other great displays can be found at:
  • The corner of Christmas Lane and Springhill Way, Gambrills. 
  • King Malcolm Avenue and Odenton Road
  • Annapolis Road, not far past the traffic circle Gambrills
  • Cannon Ridge Court in Seven Oaks
Crofton - George St. Clair has mounted eight window boxes with scenes reminiscent of the old-style department store displays.  

Delmar Avenue, Glen Burnie - Tony Iorio's home is legendary in Anne Arundel County. He's been known to play Santa Claus on Saturday night's during the holiday season. 

200 4th Ave., Glen Burnie - Redfin Blog reports that this home is decked out with many decorations, including Santa in a hot air balloon. 

"Mamulaville" in Severn - Off Ringe Drive and Burns Crossing Road.

Lights by the Bay at Sandy Point State Park - Take a short drive along the bay and see more than 60 displays along the road. Runs 5-10 p.m. through Jan. 1. Cost is $14 per car. 

Howard County

Durham Road East, Columbia -  - Charles Daniels' home has more than 300,000 lights. The display was a two-time finalist in the former Patch Deck the House contest. 

Symphony of Lights - At Merriweather Pavilion, featuring more than 70 lighted and animated displays. Runs every night through Jan. 5. Cost is $20 per car. 

103 and Red Hill Way, Ellicott City - Reader Chris Moore gave us a heads up about this display, which features lights synchronized to Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me." We approve. 

Prince George's County


Watkins Regional Park, Bowie - The Winter Festival of Lights features more than 1 million lights. This drive-through experience is $5 per car and free on Christmas Day. 

Fairview Manor, Bowie - Patch reader Angela Allen reports that there are homes with good light displays in this development near Bowie Town Center. 

Good Luck Road, Lanham - There are reportedly two houses here with an abundance of lights not far from the intersection of Good Luck Road and Greenbelt Road. [See YouTube video]

Lastner Lane, Greenbelt - In the old section of Greenbelt, it's accessible from Route 201 or Route 193 and the Baltimore Washington Parkway. 

Montgomery County 

Seneca Creek State Park - This 3.5 mile drive through the park features more than 350 illuminated items. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Rd. in Gaithersburg. Cost is $12 per car Sunday-Thursday, $15 Friday and Saturday. Open through Dec. 31, except for Christmas Day. 

Garden of Lights at Brookside Gardens -  
Illuminated outdoor garden runs through Jan. 5. Closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Cost is $20 per car, $25 on Friday and Saturdays. Located at 1800 Glenallen Dr., Wheaton.
