Looking for a fresh start... :)

I live in the south (florida actually) and ive been there my entire life. Ive reached the age where I want more out of life than what my routine has to offer. Im thinking of moving to this area (Crofton)... but thats not possible when I know so little :( im up here on vacation and ive made my rounds... seen parts of DC and made the trip to Annapolis, even went all over Baltimore just to get a feel of the area. Its beautiful up here... rolling hills and deep green trees. I dont know where to start and I dont know who to ask. Im in need of someone with local information thats willing to be bothered over simple stuff... like telling me where to find a daycare for my 3 year old and where shopping centers are and all those basic day to day things people take for granted. I had no intention of blogging or asking for help, but im quite overwhelmed. If anyone feels the need to throw some info my way it would be greatly appreciated :) thx
