Prom Proposal Gone Wrong?

As teens get creative across the country with how they ask their dates out, a Crofton Patch reader posted a story about a prom-posal she witnessed.

The most important part of the modern prom experience takes place before the dance even occurs—it's all about the proposal and the creative ways teens ask their dates to go to prom.

A Crofton Patch reader recently shared a story about when a sign posted for "Jordan" came down from the walkway bridge of Walden Country Club. It makes me wonder if Jordan saw the sign before it blew down or if her potential date found another creative way to ask her to the big event.

Belmont Patch told the story Friday of a young man who used a poster board plea to ask his date to prom at the end of her lacrosse game in Belmont, MA.

Earlier this month, Darien Patch reported how a teen who is a volunteer firefighter hung from a fire department ladder truck in Darien, CT. The girl said yes, and the boy later put the video on YouTube.

For Crofton teens who attend county schools, prom for Arundel High will be on May 25 at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront and South River High will hold theirs on May 26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
