Eleven Baltimore-area Applebee's are offering college-bound high school seniors some assistance in their continuing education - a scholarship opportunity.

The Applebee’s/The Rose Group Hospitality scholarship is proudly presented by the Restaurant Association of Maryland Education Foundation (RAMEF) on behalf of Applebee’s/The Rose Group, a longtime partner and supporting group of RAMEF. 

The scholarship, valued at $1,100, is awarded on a competitive basis to a graduating high school senior in Maryland.  Those who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply: http://www.marylandrestaurants.com/RAM/ProStart/Scholarships/RAM/_Prostart/Scholarships.aspx?hkey=3e97d18f-8216-4964-9d4c-58db0279d226. Applicants must: 

·      Maryland resident

·      Graduating high school senior

·      Pursuing hospitality related coursework

·      Minimum cumulative unweighted grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

·      Minimum of 150 hours of documented industry experience

·      Must have some community involvement

·      Interviews may be required of finalists
