WTOP: Crofton Peeping Tom Sentenced 10 Years

The man at the center of the December peeping tom case was sentenced 10 years according to a WTOP report.

UPDATED at 11:00PM: Charles Novak, 35, was sentenced 10 years behind bars for multiple burglary charges according to a WTOP report. Wednesday’s Arundel County Circuit Court online docket indicated Novak was charged with multiple charges of burglary and peeping tom.

Prosecutors said Novak took hundreds of nude pictures of victims around Crofton, according to WTOP. He reportedly had 2,282 video clips of 260 women and some of the women’s undergarments according to WTOP. Read more on the WTOP report and victims accounts here.

Novak was on for charges related to a December 2010 incident. On Dec. 27, 2010, police responded to a burglary report on Fairlawn Court. Novak was found inside a homeowner's vehicle in the garage and fled. When police caught him, they discovered he'd been conducting visual surveillance of residents.

  The Baltimore Sun reports Crofton’s is expected to plead guilty.

According to the Arundel County Circuit Court docket Novak is charged with multiple charges of burglary and peeping tom.
