Charges Yet to Be Filed After Fort Meade Suspect Barricades House

Authorities have not yet released the name of a Fort Meade soldier suspected of stabbing a man and then barricading himself in a house on the post Wednesday.

According to CapitalGazette.com, military police and Fort Meade Emergency Services responded to a residence on Cain Circle in Normandy Bluffs Wednesday afternoon after a soldier allegedly stabbed a man after an altercation.

The suspect barricaded himself when confronted by law enforcement. Army special agents and Anne Arundel County police convinced him to surrender.

As of Thursday, the soldier had not been charged, the website said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
