Community Coming Together for Crofton EMT Kelley Payne

Kelley Payne benefit organizers are calling on the Crofton and Gambrills communities to support a first responder always ready to serve and help others.

Kelley Payne is an Emergency Medical Technician with the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department–Ladder 7. The recent Anne Arundel Community College graduate suffered a stroke several weeks ago. It’s an injury that will require rehabilitation therapy.

Friends and family of the 21-year-old single mother are calling on the community to help.

A benefit for Payne is scheduled from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the restaurant. Washington Capitals announcers Craig Laughlin and Joe Beninati will host the event. The event will include a silent auction, 50-50 raffle, food, drinks and fun.
