Family Takes to Social Media in Hunt for Son's Killer
A road rage incident that began in Maryland ended with a pickup ramming into a Maine man's car and pushing it into the median. He was then shot and killed; police are asking witnesses to come forward.
Almost four months have passed since a man was shot and killed during a 15-mile road rage pursuit that began in Maryland, yet authorities have yet to find the suspected killer.
The victim’s family is making another plea for help on social media, launching the Justice For Asti Davison Facebook page in hopes that a driver who saw the incident along the Maryland/Pennsylvania line will come forward.
Surveillance video in the road rage case shows a pickup truck that investigators believe ran Timothy Davison off Interstate 81 shortly before he was murdered. In the video a blue Ford Ranger heads south on Interstate 81 in the early hours of Jan. 4, reports WJZ TV. Police believe the truck rammed Davison’s vehicle, pushing it off the interstate, into the median.

Davison’s family created the Facebook page to keep the hunt for witnesses and his killer in the minds of Maryland drivers, reports WJZ TV.
“People get back into their routine and they think everything is okay. That’s why I want to keep it alive because those people are not safe,” Davison’s mother, Theresa Allocca, told the TV station.

The road-rage incident apparently began on Interstate 70 in Maryland and turned into a pursuit that lasted for nearly 15 miles before Davison was shot and killed along the road, reports CNN.
Davison, 28, of Maine, first called 911 around 2 a.m. on Jan. 4 to report that a vehicle was tailgating him on I-70. He then called back as he crossed into Pennsylvania to say he was being shot at, FOX News says.
Officials told WCSH TV in Maine that both vehicles were northbound on Interstate 81 when the suspect forced Davison's vehicle into the median and someone fired several rounds into Davison's vehicle. Authorities arrived to find Davison suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A task force composed of Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia state police, as well as the FBI, is seeking help from the public in finding the Ford Ranger XLT pickup with damage on the driver's side suspected of ramming into Davison's car.
