More than four dozen firefighters responded to a blaze that destroyed a garage in Gambrills on Tuesday.
Firefighters responded at about 11:40 a.m. to the 1600 block of Polly Place, according to Division Chief Keith Swindle, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. They arrived to see the garage of the home totally consumed, and immediately called for assistance, making it a two-alarm event.
The fire was brought under control in about one hour and there were no reports of injuries.
At its peak, 50 firefighters were at the scene.
Investigators said the fire caused $400,000 in damage to the garage, vehicles and other content. The cause was not yet determined.
