Fire Does $70,000 Damage to Crofton Townhome

A townhome in Crofton was heavily damaged Sunday night in a fire.

A fire caused an estimated $70,000 in damage to a Crofton townhome late Sunday night, reports CapitalGazette.com.

When Anne Arundel County firefighters arrived in the 1900 block of Cambridge Drive at 11:30 p.m., they found heavy smoke coming from the home.

It took 27 firefighters about 45 minutes to control the fire, Division Chief Keith Swindle, a fire department spokesman, told the newspaper.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined.
