Gambrills Collision Sends 2 to Hospital

A girl was flown to shock trauma with injuries that were not life threatening and a man was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center due to a crash at Route 175 and McKnew Road on Saturday.

A 16-year-old girl was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that were not life-threatening as a result of a collision at Route 175 and McKnew Road in Gambrills on Saturday.

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to the scene at 12:35 p.m. where it took 25 minutes to extricate the girl from her vehicle, said fire department spokesman and battalion chief Steve Thompson.

A 35-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Anne Arundel Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, he said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
