Man Robs Capital One Bank in Gambrills

Police say a man entered the bank Tuesday afternoon and handed a teller a note.

Police are looking for a man in connection to a bank robbery at the Village of Waugh Chapel in Gambrills on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the robbery happened at about 2:20 p.m. at the Capital One Bank on Brandermill Boulevard. A man gave the teller a note that claimed he had a gun and intended to rob the bank, police said. 

No one was able to confirm whether the man was carrying a weapon.

Police released a surveillance photo of a black man between 40 and 50 years old with facial hair and a medium build. He was wearing glasses and a tan baseball cap, a dark shirt and black jacket.
