Man Stabbed in Crofton Early Tuesday Morning

Police are questioning two women as persons of interest in connection with the incident.

A 47-year-old man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in Crofton early this morning, according to county police.

The man was taken to shock trauma with non-life threatening injuries after the stabbing in the 1400 block of Stoneham Road at about 4:26 a.m., said Justin Mulcahy, Anne Arundel County Police spokesman.

Police located two women in a vehicle on Route 450 and detained them for questioning as persons of interest in connection to the incident, Mulcahy said.

Police think the man may have picked up the two women in Baltimore and brought them to his home, where a fight may have occurred resulting in the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing, Mulcahy said.
