A New Windsor man has died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash on westbound MD Rt. 175 (Annapolis Road) at Clark Road in Jessup.

Anne Arundel County Police confirmed Sunday that Gregory Alan Cassagne, 59, of the 3100 block of Atlee Ridge Road in New Windsor died Friday night at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

He was driving a 2009 Toyota Prius that police say failed to yield the right of way to a Nissan Altima when making a left turn from Max Blobs Park Road onto westbound MD Rt. 175. The Nissan struck the right front passenger side of the Toyota.

Neither driver was restrained properly by a seat belt, police say. The accident happened about 7 a.m. Friday.

The driver of the Nissan is Dontay Eugene Parker, 34, of the 8200 block of Autumn Lake Court of Severn. He is listed in serious but stable condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

The cause of the crash appears to be driver error on the part of Cassagne, police said. Speed does not appear to be a factor in this crash. The investigation continues.
