Police Apprehend Suspect in April 22 Bank Robbery in Glen Burnie

Suspect entered Bay Bank, implied that he had weapon and fled with money.

On Tuesday, April 22 at 12:10 p.m., officers from Anne Arundel County's Northern District responded to the Bay Bank located in the 400 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie for the report of a bank robbery.

Information received indicated that a male suspect entered the bank, implied that he had a weapon and fled with money. Upon arrival, officers and detectives quickly obtained a suspect description and proceeded to canvass the area.

Officers assigned to the area were familiar with the suspect based on prior contacts with him.

The suspect was soon observed walking in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway and he was detained. Money taken from the bank was located on the suspect, who was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery and related offenses.

Police have identified the suspect as Randall Patrick Allen, 55, of St. Agnes Road in Glen Burnie.
